ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [16305]

SYMPTOMS

On : 11.2.0.2 version, Internals Errors (ORA-600)

When attempting to startup database,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [16305], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [16388], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

You may find one or both of the following function codes in the "call stack" section of the trace file:

 kmdmai kmmrdp

CAUSE

The loopback IP is not pinging from the host and/or the loopback adapter is not configured to 127.0.0.1 as per the mapping in the /etc/hosts.
 

SOLUTION

Ask the OS Admin to check the loopback adapter configuration and ensure that the loopback IP is pinging from host.
